Three Easy Yule Rituals to Try in 2022

Yule Ritual #1 – Abundance Jar Ritual

One of my favorite rituals is the abundance jar ritual. It allows for creativity with ingredients and can be customized for any intention you have. Plus, it looks and smells beautiful! Gather the following items:

– Small glass jar with lid
– Holly
– Bayberry
– Cinnamon Sticks
– Juniper Berries
– Dried peppermint leaves
– Cedar essential oil
– Green candle
– Fir incense

This jar focuses on manifesting abundance for the upcoming weeks, months, and year. Begin by gathering your supplies, sitting comfortably in your space, and lighting your candle and incense. Clear your mind and focus on the areas of your life where you want to manifest abundance. Slowly fill the jar with the ingredients while visualizing growth and prosperity.

Envision your ideal year, focusing on positive changes you want to manifest. Take your time with the ritual and once you feel ready, seal the jar and place it in a visible location. Let it serve as a reminder of your intentions and bring optimism during challenging times.

Yule Ritual #2 – Sunrise Meditation

This meditation is a way to welcome the sun back, express gratitude, and balance energies. If possible, perform this meditation outdoors during sunrise or in a sunny area indoors. Set up with a yellow candle, Myrrh incense, and an offering to nature or a deity if desired. Sit comfortably facing the sun or a sunny window, light your candle and incense, and present your offering.

Clear your mind and focus on gratitude for the warmth and life provided by the sun and nature. Express thanks and set intentions for caring for the environment in the coming year. Bask in the sunlight and believe in brighter days ahead.

Yule Ritual #3 – Cleansing Bowl

For this ritual, you will need a bowl, sea salt, lemon essential oil, pine needles, dried lavender, dried eucalyptus, bay leaves, a mortar and pestle (optional), rosemary incense, and a candle. Mix the salts, herbs, and oils together, focusing on cleansing negativity and welcoming new energies. Write on bay leaves what you want to let go of and bury them in the salt mixture. Visualize releasing negativity and making space for positivity and new beginnings.

Place the bowl in a prominent location to serve as a reminder to move forward and avoid falling into old habits. Personalize each ritual with additional elements that resonate with you. Remember, there is no wrong way to do these Yule rituals – your way is perfect.
