Simple Gratitude Ceremony for the Autumn Equinox

Mabon, the Autumn Equinox is here! While not one of the larger Sabbats, it is highly anticipated as it marks the beginning of the Autumn season – the Season of the Witch. A gratitude ritual is a perfect way to celebrate this turning point.

Mabon is also known as the Witches Thanksgiving, a time to be grateful for all we have received throughout the year and for the bounty that sustained our ancestors through winter. In our modern world, it’s easy to forget to show gratitude for the food and abundance we have.

During Mabon, we can perform spells and rituals related to protection, cleansing, new beginnings, prosperity, and gratitude. It’s important to express thanks to nature and the universe for all we have.

Reflection is also key during Mabon, as we look back on the year and plan for the future. Starting with gratitude can propel us towards our goals.
